Preservation Dallas Inaugural Downtown Dallas Bike Tour is Sunday, April 23rd in the morning. If youre like me, you can go on the tour and in the late afternoon attend Church of the Incarnation Evensong service. The archectiture is absolutely beautiful, very Anglican and the choir is incredible. And youre in the neighborhood already from your Sunday morning ride to downtown. - Web Elf
This just in from Preservation Dallas:
Although we have closed down our online ticket purchase site, you can still attend our Bike Tour of historic Downtown Dallas! Just come to the Start/Finish Point on Knox Street where it intersects with the Katy Trail (just west of Cole Avenue) between 8:30-10:00 a.m. this Sunday, April 23 to join us on our innaugural bike tour. Tickets are $25 for Preservation Dallas members, $30 for non-members, and can be purchased when you arrive at the Start/Finish Point. We will ride down the Katy Trail into Downtown, stopping at historically and architecturally significant sites to enjoy and learn more about them.
We will then ride back up the trail, and those of us whove worked up an appetite will gather around Noon for lunch at one of the many great restaurants along Knox Street. This is an easy ride around some of the most scenic sites in Dallas, so bring a friend and join us for a leisurely look at the many gems Dallas has to offer!
A gift bag with tour t-shirt and water are included in the ticket price, and there will be restroom stops along the route.
Richardson Bike Mart will be on-hand to pump up tires and provide quick repairs. If you need to rent a bike for the event, just visit www.bikemart.com, or phone 214.321.0705, and reserve your bike today!
